Assistant Tax Accountant

A leading global services provider is looking to hire an Assistant Tax Accountant.

Joining an established and successful tax department, you will undertake a mixed tax role that is split between corporate taxation and income taxation. Working as part of a team within the department, you will have responsibility for tax compliance for a section of the businesses' UK and European activities.

Your day to day work will involve preparing the accounts for different sections of the business in order to produce the relevant tax returns, liaison with other departments and staff at all levels within the business, liaison with and submission of returns to HMRC and ad-hoc project work such as tax efficiency and tax planning projects, as part of the wider team.

Candidate will need to have a good basic understanding of accountancy and taxation, but experience of producing tax returns is not essential, and training can be provided. If you do not have practical experience, a relevant academic qualification (degree, AAT, ATT) will be a strong advantage. Other qualities the firm are seeking including an enthusiastic or outgoing personality, strong communications skills, ambition, drive and the desire to progress in a career in taxation or group accounting.
