Marks Sattin are currently working with a leading Insurance company based in York. There is one vacant reporting accountant role in the finance accounting team.
This team is responsible for all financial reporting to group, the external regulator and statutory accounts. They also implement accounting changes that result from new products, system changes, regulatory changes or internal capital initiatives.
You will be responsible for:
- Reporting to the group
- Regulatory reporting
- Review and Analysis of monthly accounts
- External reporting
- Some statutory accounts activity
- Integration of the accounting functions between two sites
- Accounting query resolution with external parties
- Project work implementing accounting solutions for business change.
You will:
- Be comfortable dealing with fast paced reporting cycles
- Have experience in a financial reporting role or financial services experience
- Be familiar with complex data and know how to prioritise the significant issues
- Strong excel skills
- Be Qualified or Part Qualified
