Senior Management Accountant

A thriving international manufacturing company based in the North Liverpool area is recruiting a Senior Management Accountant to join its expanding Finance team. The ideal candidate will be an ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified Accountant who has experience delivering monthly reporting, preparing monthly results and identifying key drivers in order to maximize business performance within a fast-paced environment. The role comes with a generous salary, discretionary bonus and excellent benefits package.

The Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for:

• Prepare the monthly results and delivering monthly reporting and local month end procedures culminating in a trial balance;
• Identifying key drivers in the segments to support the reporting process. 
• Produce presentations of results to site management, forming close working relationships with the site team to ensure a financial focus on production decisions. 
• Further support includes Rolling Plan preparation and profitability data.
• Promoting a ‘cash culture’ ensuring all business activities maximize cash generation.
• Involvement in the standard costing process.  Perform ad-hoc standard costing as required by the UK planning team.
• Other ad-hoc commercial analysis and reporting as required.

Ideally you will have/be:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
• Degree level education – 1^st class or 2.1 (2.2 considered if strong manufacturing background)
• Strong IT skills including Advanced Excel (Vlookups, Pivots, Macros beneficial but not essential)
• Proficient on relevant financial operating systems
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in the manufacturing sector desirable but not essential
