Our client, a high-growth and truly innovate private equity backed SME, with impressive plans to further expand its services across the UK, is looking to source a top calibre Financial Controller. You will work closely with a dynamic CFO, who will give you full autonomy to shape the finance function and implement the infrastructure necessary to grow the business further.
The role will be responsible for providing 'best in class' financial information for the Board and investors, as well as ensuring robust controls are in place. You will lead and mentor a small team and provide excellent commercial support to the management team.
Main duties include:
* Building strong cross-functional relationships to ensure plans and financial information is communicated
* Overseeing the production of financial information including statements and cashflow projections
* Producing monthly management accounts and statutory reporting
* Overseeing year end process
* Reviewing and approving all statutory submissions
* Establishing KPIs and supporting other departments in costings and margin analysis
* Implement and monitor reliable controls and new ways of working
* Maintaining banking and audit relationships
Skills & Educations required:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
* Degree educated with a minimum 2:1 from a well-regarded institution
* Previous experience in a managerial role in a small - medium sized business
* Excellent communication and strong commercial instincts
* Highly proactive approach to work, task orientated and analytically minded
* Natural credibility, character and gravitas
