Senior Finance Analyst

A fast-growing FMCG business in Birmingham are recruiting for a Senior Finance Analyst to join the Group Finance Team.

This is a newly created role where the team provide central analysis of both group revenues and costs, in addition to all investment appraisals and continuous improvement projects. Analysis of the group performance under these headings is designed to allow recommendations on which projects will be initiated to improve the value of the business for the long-term.

The role of Senior Finance Analyst will provide senior support and analysis to the Head of FP&A in areas of key strategic development; including merger & acquisition project management and scenario modelling, plus group strategy modelling and divisional tracking​.

Working within a team of 8 and reporting into the Head of FP&A, with no direct reports, it is intended that this particular role will have significant exposure to the Group CFO and allow you to make a real impact within the Group Finance team.

To be considered for the position of Senior Finance Analyst, candidates must be/have:

• Fully qualified Accountant with strong knowledge of both commercial and supply-chain / operational performance
• Experience and skill in building complex forecast models
• Experience in business-wide investment appraisals
• Experience of system process improvements - able to develop new ways of working to streamline operations and remove non value added activities
• Strong computer skills and financial systems (SAP, Hyperion etc.)

Package on offer for the position of Senior Finance Analyst is a basic salary between £40,000 and £48,000 plus package.
