This is a fantastic role for a CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant. As the ideal candidate you will be proven in your ability of developing and mentoring direct reports as this position will see you lead the day to day running of the Management Accounting team.

You will play a pivotal role within the business rather than just being a number in a larger organisation. Your team is experienced, with some great character…it is your responsibility to ensure financial rigor and install best practice, both within your team and in a business partnering capacity.

So the key deliverables of this are...

Understand and review the entire Year end Process, creating process notes
and simplifying where possible, training the senior management accountant.

Establish automated subsidiary reporting and accurate consolidation with wider reporting standards

Create a consolidated forecast model for the P&L, rolling 2 year forecast and generally work with the commercial team to develop the forecasting capability


Work with the Cost and price Accountant to understand the stock management and to train the Senior Management Accountant on taking responsibility for this.


Your responsibilities:

Ownership of the monthly management accounting process including implementation, consolidation and reconciliation into the finance system.
Cost centre management and business partnering with budget owners acting as their first point of contact for queries
Overhead consolidation and reporting including variance analysis and recommendations re risk and opportunities
Implement and lead strong controls around the balance sheet
Responsibility for stock provision and ensuring accuracy and controls over stock balance
Lead role in annual statutory reporting and completion of the tax pack
Lead role in budgeting, planning and forecasting
Support the development of the Assistant Management Accountant
Group cash flow forecasting
