A long term interim opportunity to join as Commercial Finance Assistant. The role will focus on providing Business Units with the financial and commercial support across all divisions. The successful candidate will be working with multiple contacts across the business and at all levels.
Key Responsibilities include:
*Assisting the Commercial Manager to provide financial and commercial support in accordance with the company's commercial policies and procedures in order to ensure that commercial entitlement is pursued and obtained in accordance with the terms of all client contracts.
*Set up of client orders in accordance with formal instructions and preparation of contract invoicing such that cash position maximised.
*Assist the business unit support team in vendor benchmarking and sub-contracts, including placing orders where necessary. Ensuring value for money, best practice and innovation
*Assistance with the preparation of budget variance reporting and end life forecasting in accordance with company policies and procedures
*Cash management, including matching of remittances, bank reconciliations and assisting with debt reports and chasing as required
*Deputising for purchase ledger
*Routine accounting tasks such as balance sheet reconciliations and journals
*Assisting with month end valuations and management accounts
*Maintaining a log of Client contracts to aid contract renewals and set up of cost reporting for new business
The Successful candidate will be:
Actively studying/part qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
Proficient in all Microsoft Office packages (PP, word, Excel etc)
Advanced user of Excel (Macros ideal)
Good working knowledge of a recognized ERP system (ideally SAP, Dynamics and Access)
