HFG have partnered with a growing international insurance business to recruit a Compliance officer. The compliance officer will support the Head of compliance in taking responsibility for the running and control of the complaince fframework.
The compliance officer is responsible for providing compliance advice, guidance and training to all business functions, maintaining successful and sufficient compliance monitoring; ensuring compliance policies and procedures are met.

Duties and expectations:
- Previous experience of providing compliance and legal advice within the insurance industry.
- Planning, undertaking and maintaining compliance monitoring program, ensuring remedial action is taken.
- Develop and update compliance policies and procedures, including sanctions, AML, ABB and procurement.
- Undertake and monitor compliance training within the business.
- Previous experience of reviewing and approving financial promotions.
- Supporting the legal function in conducting due diligence of third party affiliates.
- Interaction with regulatory bodies, FCA, and reporting information as requested.
- Providing legal support and advice to the Head of legal on Vendor Agreements, client contracts and NDA’s.
- Knowledge of FCA regulatory framework and handbook.
- Working knowledge compliance within the insurance sector.
- Experience of regulatory issues relating to insurance intermediary would be beneficial.
