financial Controller

As Financial Controller you will work closely with the Deputy Director of Finance to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all the Trust’s corporate financial systems and processes and ensure the integrity of all financial reporting.

As Financial Controller your key responsibilities will be to ensure that all statutory accounts and returns are prepared within set timescales, meet all legal requirements and that working papers are produced to a high professional standard. You will ensure that a robust plan is in place for the financial accounting timetable, oversee management of cash and working capital, assist with internal reporting in respect of the Trusts capital programme and charitable funds and ensure the integrity of internal financial systems.

With responsibility for the day to day management of the financial accounts team, your demonstrable financial accounting experience will allow you to provide relevant advice, support and direction. Possessing an innovative approach, you will work with the team, to identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency of the department.

The Financial Controller will be a technically competent, strategic thinking Qualified Accountant with excellent management skills and a proven track record of financial leadership and performance, within the NHS organisation.
