We are looking for someone who not only understands Finance from a technical point of view but someone who has interaction with major stakeholders and is key in making decisions.



The Commercial Manager will be responsible for a medium sized finance team reporting and working very closely with the MD of the business.



Job Outline

Reporting



The role reports to the Managing Director and will have the finance team as direct reports.



Responsibilities

Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.

Ensure compliance with business policies and procedures to guarantee the reliability of financial reporting.

Ensure maintenance of financial record systems and monitor the use of all funds.

Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials and metrics for internal review, board and investor group; prepare and communicate monthly and annual financial statements.

Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the business including business revenue/expense and balance sheet reports as well as financial planning and analysis

Oversee the company'stransaction processing systems.

Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.

Identify risk issues to the Managing Director.



Competencies/Skills required

Must be a degree holder with a CPA/CMA/ACCA or equivalent qualification. MBA would be desirable.

Qualified Accountant with knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.

Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

Broad based global experience in leading a financial unit.

Experience in auditing within a large business.

Strong commitment to developing team members.



The right candidate for this role and company, must have managed a team in Finance larger than 3, and must have reported to senior stakeholders. This is a small business set up, so it will be a great opportunity for someone who has worked in a similar environment.
