Assistant Financial Controller

Assistant Financial Controller required to work within this globally recognised business. To be considered for this Assistant Financial Controller role you will have a strong academic background and be looking to develop and progress within a fast moving environment.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Assistant Financial Controller will be responsible for the development of financial strategies within the business and ensure that robust financial and systems controls are in place. Duties will include:

• Produce monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner
• Co-ordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts
• Manage the year end process and statutory accounts preparation, including corporation tax
• Ensure all projects are tracked commercially from tender to completion, and that there is appropriate accounting treatment of any long term contracts
• Establish and maintain effective personal and team communications with internal and external customers and suppliers

The ideal candidate will require the following:

• Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA & Degree is essential
• First class attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
• Ability to present data in a meaningful and concise manner
• Experience of Project Accounting would be beneficial
• SAP knowledge preferred
• Excellent spreadsheet and data analytical skills required
• Enthusiastic, positive and driven by an eagerness to learn and develop
