An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join an expanding SME based in Bury.
Reporting to and working closely with the Directors you will have full control of the finance function and manage a team of 3 accounts staff. Your responsibilities will include;
·Manage all the book-keeping, administration and financial accounting information. Liaison with external accountants who prepare the monthly MI, yearend accounts, annual forecasts
·Maintenance of the weekly cash flow forecasts for the business and the management of cash receipts / payments
·Ensure that the company's filing and payment deadlines are adhered to including liaising with HMRC
·Responsible for the continuous improvement of current reporting processes, including shortening the reporting deadlines where possible
·Liaison with external accountants throughout the year
·Provide support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions
·Ensure spending is kept in line with the budget
·Monitoring of revised product costings v selling price to ensure profitability is maintained
·Analyse financial performance and contribute to medium and long-term business planning
·Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems, policies and procedures and suggest and implement improvements where needed
·Review and negotiate commercial and vehicle insurance provisions
·Liaison with directors and external accountants on capital investment projects, loans and grants
·Oversee the timely production of the monthly payroll ensuring complete accuracy prior to authorising payments.
·Liaison with Procurement and IT Support Manager to ensure the smooth running of associated IT systems to ensure continuous improvements and full capability to accommodate the business needs at all times
You will have strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively, excellent attention to detail, a strong reputation for accuracy and meeting strict deadlines. Preference will be given to applicants with extensive Sage 50 Accounts/Sage 200 experience with a 'can do' attitude and hands on approach. Ideally you will be qualified to CIMA/ACCA/ACA Level however part qualified along with qualified by experience candidates will also be considered.
