An excellent opportunity is available for a Head of Financial Accounts for a 12 month maternity cover with a most respected Financial Services business based in Central Birmingham.
About the Head of Financial Accounts role:
You will be responsible to manage the Financial Accounting Team to manage and co-ordinate the valuation reporting processes, manage this company's auditors, and also prepare reports to the Board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Financial Accounting Team and ensure their work is completed effectively and within budget
- Advise on key accounting and reporting judgements within Group Finance
- Manage the company's relationship with its auditors and tax advisors
- Provide advice and assistance to Group Finance and other areas of the business as required
- Prepare reports for Head of Group Financial Reporting and draft reports to the Board
- Responsible for other projects driven by Financial Accounting
The Head of Financial Accounts will be a Qualified Accountant with an expertise in Financial Reporting, strong in people management, and also possess excellent communication skills. You will need to provide a senior accountant advisory role to other teams. You will advise on key accounting and reporting judgements within Group Finance.
