Finance Business Partner

Robert Half is currently looking for a commercially focused Finance Business Partner for a global business based in South Derbyshire.

The Role

The Role will see you use your accountancy skills to add real value to the business, although there is an element of accounts preparation this will be a small part of your role. The majority of your time will be spent analysing data and presenting this back to finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

• Work closely with department managers on how to improve their financial performance
• Prepare accurate forecasts based on previous company data, and internal and external analysis.
• In-depth analysis of the monthly management accounts
• Improve existing controls
• Systems improvements
• Project work, including pricing and costing projects

The Candidate

The right person for this role will be educated to degree level and hold a recognised accountancy qualification. You will most likely have had a number of years experience in a technical management accounts role and be looking to make the move into a truly commercial focused position. Prior to applying, you should be prepared to explain tangible examples of where you have improved processes and added value to your current organisation.

The Business

This global manufacturing organisation is not the most instantly recognisable brand but boasts revenues that make it one of the largest businesses with South Derbyshire Offices. They rarely hire at this level as they have a strong record of internal promotions therefore will be very selective to ensure they get the right candidate on board.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is will be in the region of £50,000 however for the right candidate this may be stretched further. The business is looking for someone with the right personality and attitude to come in and make a real difference to the organisation.
