Financial Controller

A fast growth Digital business based in Central London (Zone 1) is looking to hire a Divisional Financial Controller to come in and establish a new management accounting team in this new division.Working for this well-known brand, this is an opportunity to work for a business which is continuously evolving and growing organically and through acquisition.

This newly created role reports to the Group Financial Controller and will take responsibility for managing a team of 2 as well as owning the monthly reporting and management accounts.  Working in a hands on, strategic and fast paced environment, the duties will include:

• Overseeing and production of the monthly management accounts
• Management of the departmental budgets and forecasts including working closely with senior management to review these
• Ownership of departmental costs including business partnering with relevant stakeholders
• Managing a team of 2 Part Qualified Accountants
• Continuous review and improvement of current processes and working with senior management to improve existing controls
• Handling the balance sheet reconciliations  
• Reviewing the monthly payroll process 
• Management of any project based work including systems upgrades

The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with at least 3 years PQE.  You must have proven experience working in a leadership role where you have been managing a team, taking ownership for the P&L for a region/division and have proven experience improving existing processes.  The confidence and personality to be able to influence senior management is key to the success in this role as well as an ability to work in a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment.  Intermediate to advanced excel skills is essential, alongside a proven track record working for a Digital company.
