Finance Manager

A fast growth Digital business based in Central London (Zone 1) is looking to hire a Finance Manager to work in a newly acquired area of the business.  Working for this well-known brand, this is an opportunity to work for a business which is continuously evolving and growing organically and through acquisition.

This newly created role reports to the Group Financial Controller and will take responsibility for managing a small team as well as working in a hands on role preparing the monthly management accounts. Working in a fast paced environment, the duties will include:

• Production of the monthly management accounts
• Production of monthly reporting packs along with commentary 
• Management of the departmental budgets and forecasts including working closely with senior management to review these
• Handling the balance sheet reconciliations
• Reviewing the payroll for the division on a monthly basis
• Handling month-end duties and VAT returns 
• Continuous review and improvement of current processes and working with senior management to improve existing controls 
• Management of any project based work including systems upgrades
• Management of a small team 

The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with 1-2 years post qualified experience. You must have proven experience working in a hands on role where you have taken ownership of producing the monthly reporting and management accounts for a division as well as having experience improving existing processes.  The confidence and personality to be able to manage a small team and work closely with senior management is key to the success in this role as well as an ability to work in a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment.  Intermediate to advanced excel skills is essential, alongside a proven track record working for a Digital company.
