One of Europe's busiest international gateways for the movement of passengers and trade are recruiting for a new Qualified Financial Accountant for a unique role that will involve exposure and work on a £250 million Project.

An award-winning organisation in their sector, benefitsd on offer include up to 10% Bonus, Healthcare and Contributory Pension, based out of lovely coastal offices.

Responsible for all aspects of financial accounting within the Group and
its subsidiaries and to be able to confidently present their analyses to the relevant audience across the organisation.

This major infrastructure business requires detailed examination of and accounting for all capital spends. A key element of this job will be the monitoring of costs and assessment of the most tax efficient options for a £250m development project.

Reporting on the €44m European grants that have been awarded on the project ensuring that the business is compliant with FRS 102

 To report in a timely manner on grant submissions ensuring compliance with the legislation and maximising cash flows.
 To produce weekly cash flows for all project related spend ensuring that contractor certificates are in order, that invoices have the correct detail for reporting purposes and are paid according to the contract.
 To carry out analysis for identified projects to determine project viability and to share knowledge across teams to improve business performance, assessing opportunities and risks from those projects.

Analysis includes: validating the project/initiative by using investment appraisal techniques and prioritising projects by potential added value.

 To be responsible for all of the balance sheet and in particular monitoring working capital and cash flow forecasting.
 To accept responsibility for the tax planning opportunities and to work with the Finance team to mitigate tax exposure as appropriate.
 To be responsible for ensuring the business is compliant with all current accounting standards and reporting as defined by FRS102.
 To produce consolidated statutory accounts, individual company accounts and the corporation tax computations for each entity.
 To prepare the quarterly accounts for the pension scheme.
 To manage and develop the finance area of the ERP system in conjunction with the business change manager.
 To ensure all relevant financial policies and procedures are adhered to and make recommendations to improve the current systems whilst enhancing the control environment.
 To assist in preparing the annual cost budget and three year corporate plan

To process all journals and produce all reports necessary (including relevant KPI measures) to ensure the timely production of the management and statutory accounts.

 To prepare schedules where required for the annual external audit.

You will be ACA / ACCA Qualified with at least 3 years in a similar level role that reports to IFRS / GAAP Standards
