The Finance & Administration Manager will be responsible for proactively supporting financial planning and analysis within the Middle East & Africa business activities to support decision-making and business planning. The person will work closely with other finance staff across the Group of companies to support transactional accounting, financial reporting, controlling and compliance/ governance. The person will have an understanding of strategic, technological and economic issues affecting the business. This person will play a key role in the Management team that steers the Dubai office.

Detailed Job Description

As the Finance & Administration Manager you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Finance:

  • Finance point of contact for Middle East & Africa
  • Preparation and analysis of the monthly report / Summary of Operations / other adhoc reports
  • Actively support the MEA team by providing pricing calculations, business cases & marketing analysis
  • Full responsibility for the MEA income statement
  • Liaise with the MEA team to produce an accurate budgeting & planning process. Input the budget and forecasts into the SAP system for reporting
  • Authorisation of expense claims and Payroll
  • Proactively exploring and making recommendations for cost reduction, removing unnecessary silos, improving collaboration and sharing best practice
  • Presentation of the MEA financials bi-annually to the board members
  • Providing a positive and constructive contribution to the development of other finance support activities across the group of companies
  • Ensuring that communication within the finance teams and with non-finance staff is effective and understandable to non-finance staff
  • Responsible for managing any adhoc projects
  • Management of two direct reports

HR & Admin

  • Human Resources point of contact for Middle East & Africa
  • Ensuring the well-being of all employees in the MEA office
  • Recruiting staff, including developing job descriptions and person specifications, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
  • Establish a culture of professionalism and accuracy in all office activities for improved service levels to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Interpreting and advising on employment law

Candidate's Profile

  • Must have a professional finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CMA or equivalent)
  • Must have industry experience in FMCG/ retail or manufacturing
  • Must have commercial finance experience
  • 4-6 years of post qualification experience
  • Candidates with international working experience located in Australia, Europe or South Africa will be highlight desirable
  • Fluent English both written and verbal is essential
