To support our rapid growth plans, we are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to further strengthen our expanding team.
The Role:
The Finance Team manage the day to day financial function, strategic financial decision making, and company reporting and monitoring, contributing to company’s ambition of becoming the most admired provider of housing for older people, particularly by ensuring that we are seen as value driven and built to last.
Reporting to the Deputy CFO, the Financial Controller will be an experienced ACA/CIMA qualified Accountant with a previous track record of supporting a business by providing accurate and timely financial/management information to the wider team.
A key part of the role will be preparing financial statements for the group, liaising with our auditors and ensuring compliance with statutory and IFRS requirements to PLC standard, as well as being responsible for tax compliance including VAT and CIS
The financial controller will also have a close involvement in developing and managing a growing company structure , developing and improving current operational and IT systems.
Previous experience of the construction or house-building industry would be desirable, although all relevant experience will be considered.
The role requires a lot of detailed work, concentration, and requirement for being able to work dynamically, as well as considerable use of spreadsheets and general system skills.

You will be a problem solver, able to express your ideas as well as listen to and act upon the contributions of others. You will have a meticulous attention to detail, excellent numerical skills to understand complex information and outstanding organisational skills. As an advanced user of excel/spreadsheets you will have an aptitude and willingness to adapt to, and embrace our Google IT system.
You will be an experienced ACCA / CIMA professionally qualified Accountant, with a previous track record of supporting and guiding financial management along with considerable previous experience of managing debt facilities and treasury. It is desirable to have experience in the Property Development sector and COINS system experience.
