About the Team:
This role is an integral part of the giffgaff money leadership team, and will play a major role in making tactical trading decisions and shaping the long-term strategy. Ambitions for this new business are high so there`s everything to play for.

Your role:
To be a true business partner to all other members of the Money Leadership team. To share ideas and challenge current thinking and help solve problems. You will conduct insightful scenario modelling to give the team the best possible understanding of opportunities and risks to the business plan. Modelling is likely to include: business cases for launch of new products & features, pricing decisions, comparison of different strategic approaches.

Responsibilities:
-Provide updates to the Leadership team on the overall performance of giffgaff Money, and how we are progressing vs targets.
-Be accountable for ensuring that APRs on handset loans are set at an appropriate level, in line with our expected bad debt.
-Attend meetings with our third-party partners to ensure our relationship is set up in a way that gets the best value for the long term.
-Work closely with the Head of Business Planning to support with requirements for submissions to O2. Lead the annual 3 year plan and budget process for giffgaff Money
-Work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure that accounting & audit requirements are met.
-Work closely with other members of the Commercial Finance team, and have collective responsibility for making decisions in the best interest of giffgaff overall.
Skills and Experience:
-Qualified accountant with PQE and a progressive track record of achievement.
-Previous experience with affiliate sales or comparison sites is an advantage.
-Strong thought leadership to analyse and identify the business strategies with most potential.
-Strong analytical skills, including excel modelling (essential) and ideally SQL programming (or at least a desire to learn these skills).
-Strong intellect, the ambition to progress to the next level and the credibility to work closely with the senior leadership team to drive the business forward.
-Humility, sense of humour, charisma, customer focus and great teamwork skills.
