We’re 1,380 stores and counting. Serving 26 million customers a week. And we couldn’t do it without our Property Finance team.
Guiding non-finance business partners and other stakeholders, you’ll make sure our financial models are in tip top shape, and help us pick the investments that really pay off. ‘Location, location, location’ will be your mantra. But you can add ‘perform, perform, perform’ to that. Because ultimately, you’ll keep our profit and loss in great shape. And that’s where your investment in us pays off for you. Your impact will be felt throughout one of the UK’s largest businesses.
It should hopefully go without saying that you have strong financial modelling and Excel skills, and you’ll be studying towards your financial qualification, or newly qualified. But you’ll be business-savvy too, ready to be commercial consultant as much as financial analyst. And you’ll be (almost!) as adept at handling stakeholders as you are spreadsheets.
You will:
- Create investment appraisals to guide store investment and acquisition decisions.
- Ensure that investment delivery meets team objectives.
- Prepare post investment performance reviews.
- Review peers’ financial appraisals and models, challenging assumptions.
- Liaise with stakeholders to obtain relevant information.
- Challenge appraisal assumptions.
- Assess value creation opportunities as well as risks.
- Ensure appraisals are made with integrity and following corporate financial guidelines.
- Communicate financial assessments clearly, verbally and in writing.
You are:
- Enthusiastic.
- Customer focused.
- Highly motivated.
- Challenging.
- Willing to take ownership.
- An excellent communicator.
- Flexible.
- Able to work though complex problems/tasks.
- Deadline and results driven.
