The Financial Reporting Manager is a newly created role that sits within our General Insurance (GI) division (£300m+ gross written premium) based in the heart of Birmingham city centre. GI is a highly successful, fast paced and ambitious part of Legal & General and with a new CEO leading the division this will continue to be an exciting business to work for.

The Financial Reporting Manager for GI will be responsible for:

  • Production and presentation of high quality and robust financial, management and regulatory reporting (IFRS, Solvency II) and supporting the planning and forecasting process
  • Instigating and driving reporting process improvements and developing finance systems, creating a step-change in effectiveness and efficiency
  • Leading and developing a high performance team and collaborating widely providing finance support on business and finance projects

Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) Knowledge:
  • Strong financial acumen • Very good technical financial reporting
  • Regulatory reporting experience (preferably Solvency II / PRA) Skills:
  • Experienced in financial, management and regulatory reporting
  • Experienced leading planning and forecasting processes
  • Strong using, leveraging and developing finance systems and data models
  • Experienced instigating and driving change and continuous improvement
  • Experience implementing finance systems preferable (e.g. anaplan)
  • Experienced leading and developing high performance teams
