We are working with a large blue chip business who have a temporary opportunity for an Accountant to join the group reporting team for a 6 month period.
You will be responsible for providing an accounting service for the whole of the Group, providing financial and management reporting services. Within this role you will be responsible for the preparation and review of the statutory accounts for companies within the Group for year ended 31 March 2017.
You will be responsible for providing: Statutory and regulatory accounts;
Technical financial advice and guidance including interpretation and adoption of new accounting standards; Financial and management reporting to the Management Team and group companies' board of directors; Financial management information to Finance Business Partners and managers across the business. In providing these services the team ensures accounting best practice is adopted, excellent financial controls are maintained and effective financial processes are used consistently across the Group.
As a qualified chartered accountant you will have extensive previous experience of preparing and reviewing complex statutory accounts underpinned by excellent and up-to-date technical knowledge of IFRS, FRS101 and FRS102, all of which are adopted in different entities across the group. You should be able to analyse financial data, apply logical problem solving skills, pay close attention to detail and have experience of delivering to tight deadlines. You will be a good communicator with the ability to work flexibly in a team to deliver high quality external reporting.
