Commercial Accountant

My client is a market leading and global organisation with an enviable reputation within their sector. They are now looking to recruit a talented individual to the role of Commercial Accountant.

You’ll provide the information and analytical skills needed to help the business achieve the strategic objectives of the Region and to provide the operational teams with expertise and guidance on all financial matters. The commercial solutions you provide will play a key role in our future growth and profitability.

You'll proactively support the business through the production and distribution of management accounts ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements and providing insightful analysis on variances against targets. Further analysis and reporting on areas such as staff costs, debtor management, volume costs and client/contract costs will enable you directly impact the profitability and successful operation of the business.

To succeed in this role you will need:

Experience within a commercially focused finance team.

A high degree of commercial acumen is essential, together with the ability to think through the numbers and communicate effectively the interpretation of key issues in a clear, concise manner.

• Experience of preparing, reviewing and interpreting Management Accounts
• Experience of budgeting and forecasting (use of Prophix or similar tool preferable)
• Appropriate Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or working towards it.
• Strong interpersonal skills, being able to communicate to Senior Management

£40,000 - £50,000 plus benefits
