Our client is a FTSE 100 retail group who are currently going through an exciting period of change. They are performing exceptionally well at present and are the no1 in their sector across Europe. The business is currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Business Partner to Distribution and Logistics Director as the business is centralising their logistics function from the businesses they own.
This is a large scale project where you will have a direct influence on decisions made by the logistics business unit. You will manage a £500m budget and act as the finance point of contact on the leadership team.
Main duties include:
- Playing a key role in building the business’ long term strategic plans for the Distribution and Logistics division
- Ensuring there is financial insight to aid the decision making process
- Pro-actively manage the businesses’ budgeting and forecasting process
- Challenge and management transformation costs
- Monthly and quarterly management reporting
- ROI reporting and scenario analysis for the operating businesses
- Supporting businesses cases and internal investments
- Continual process improvement and ad hoc projects
The ideal person will be / have:
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA ideally, or overseas equivalent)
- Significant experience in a finance business partnering position in the retail or consumer industry
- Experience working with supply chain / logistics / distribution is essential
- Has the ability to influence senior stakeholders across the European business
- The ability to work in an unstructured and changing environment
- Someone who can drive change across the business and capitalise on opportunities
- Happy to travel 1 day per week – mainly UK but also will need to travel to EU countries as and when required
This is a great opportunity to join a large listed business. You will be part of a team expected to build relationships with the operating companies across Europe and a small amount of travel will be necessary for this.
