Qualifications:
- Recognized accounting certification (ex: APA, CIMA, etc.).
- Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience as financial analyst assuming responsibilities in reporting and improving its quality and predictability of contract accounting, accounts, balance sheet items
- Strong ability to work in detail
- Ability to work in ambiguity with little guidance
- Ability to understand business impact of decisions and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and technical skills.
- Decisiveness and critical thinking.
- Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management and Oracle systems is an asset.
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and work well under pressure in a results driven environment.
Job Description:
- Act as a right arm to Head of Finance to fix difficult situations that have worsened over time:
- Analyze, document and help predict all top level entries in actuals, forecast and budget.
- Implement new processed around POC contracts' accounting (actuals, forecast), billing and collections.
- Reconcile customer accounts with complex contract terms with a span of multiple years
- Support AR collections team in leading difficult accounts needing to build backup documentation, establish action plan that may involve legal etc.
- Support special projects and ad hoc analysis required by Manager
