An exciting opportunity to work for a fast-paced, innovative speciality finance company, this new role is part of a small, highly skilled team that partners with the Commercial P&Ls and with Credit Risk to drive delivery of the company’s growth strategy.
This role is ideally suited to a candidate looking to work and develop in a dynamic, hands-on environment, with involvement across a broad range of financial planning, analysis, project work, and new business initiatives. It also provides the opportunity to engage with multiple stakeholders across Finance and the business, including executive management.
- Partnering with Commercial:
o Business partner with responsibility for supporting both our Own Brand and Co-brand credit card portfolios with more than 5m customers.
o Assist the Commercial senior management team in the areas of business performance measurement, reporting and decision support.
- Deliver and present complex financial information in a concise manner.
- Provide insight to the P&L Directors into the drivers of any over / under performance on assets and income and help identify any required corrective actions.
o Provide support on new initiatives, including new products and new partnerships; investigate the feasibility of new revenue streams and assist with modelling of business cases.
- Forecasting / Planning:
o Lead all forecasts for card revenue and balances, ensuring key stakeholders across the Commercial teams are fully engaged. Provide review and challenge where needed to ensure budgets/ forecasts align with wider company performance targets.
o Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of revenue forecasts. Drive improvements to financial modelling, which will include involvement in the delivery of new planning tools and development of scenario analysis.
- Team Leadership and Support:
o Lead and coach 2 senior analysts and develop a business partnering capability within the team
o Proactively support the Head of Forecasting and peers across Commercial Finance team.
Support the wider Finance in projects that require commercial acumen
- Demonstrable experience in an FP&A or Partnering role, working with commercial business teams on the revenue/assets side
- Experience working in Financial Services
- Strong/advanced Excel and model building skills (incl. statistical and reference functions, etc.)
Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present information in a clear and concise fashion to senior management.
