Technical Accountant

Client

My client is a leading organisation based in Bedfordshire with a reputable name in their market. The organisations offices are based across the UK with one main function based in Bedford where this role will be located.

Due to progression the organisation are looking to take on a new Technical Accountant with the opportunity to progress in the future.

Role

• Responsible for taking accountability for submission of the statutory accounts and reporting to senior and executive management, the board and external stakeholders
• Lead on providing financial advice and support to all operations involved in commercial decision making and the growth of the business
• Ensure that reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts for all entities are prepared and checked
• Take the lead on the external audit process, being the main point of contact for any queries and you will be the source of knowledge on all capital expenditure.

Person

• Be able to demonstrate strong accounting technical skill, including experience of dealing with external auditors and audit requests
• Great time management skills and be able to prioritise deadlines.
• Drive and enthusiasm and the willingness to succeed.
• You will be a qualified accountant with either ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Ideally you will have previous exposure to VAT and have a working knowledge
