Purchasing Manager - Retail
Hampshire
£230 - £300 per day
An immediate opening has arisen for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join a busy procurement department based in Fareham, Hampshire. Reporting directly to the Senior Purchasing Manager you will be accountable for the delivery of the highest level of service and efficiency within authority levels set through a professional procurement process. The principal accountabilities for this role include:
*Develop the effectiveness of procurement operations
*Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and continuity of supply
*Establish and evaluate current and future supply requirements
*Build and maintain good working relationships
*Improve contract performance
The successful individual will have previous buying experience within IT, data, telecoms or technology and have excellent IT skills including the ability to communicate confidently, dealing with people at all levels within and outside the business, strong negotiation, influencing and presentation skills.
