Assistant Accountant

THE COMPANY:

Brewster Pratap are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant in Leeds who is either AAT qualified (or late stages of AAT) or a Part Qualified (ACCA, CIMA or similar). This is a great role for someone who has all round accounts experience and is looking to develop their skills further into management accounts. You must have a minimum experience of posting journals and doing prepayments and accruals.

Due to company expansion this is a newly created all round Assistant Accountant role where you will work closely with the Management Accountant and Financial Controller. You will have exposure and development in all aspects of Financial and Management Accounts. This is a great opportunity to work for an SME business that are growing nationally. The Leeds head office is based just outside of Leeds city centre so would suit anyone travelling from Huddersfield, Bradford, Wakefield, and all areas of Leeds.

THE JOB:

• Reporting to the Managment Accountant your duties will include
• Assistance in the preparation and analysis of management accounts and year end financial statements.
• Assistance in the preparation of Accrued and Deferred Income calculations.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Timely and accurate management reporting.
• Able to support and cover payroll, sales ledger and purchase ledger functions including the consolidation of Bank and Petty Cash reconciliations.

THE BENEFITS:

This is an urgent requirement to start ASAP, salary £21,000 - £24,000 + benefits including study support and progression.

You must have current experience working in a varied accounts position and ideally be currently studying an accountancy professional qualification.
