Robertson Bell Finance are recruiting for an Interim Finance Officer to work within a well established charity based in London. This role will be for an initial period of three months.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the operation of the charity and overall income management. As the Finance Officer you will have responsibility for the following duties; coding and processing invoices, preparing payments for the BACS run, completing reconciliation of balance sheet, bank accounts and credit card transactions, and maintaining all ledgers such as purchase, sales and general.

Having prior experience of running and administering payroll for approximately 150 employees will be key, to provide support to the finance team on a monthly basis. Being able to assist on accruals, prepayments and adjustments to journals is essential for this post. Previous experience of processing overseas payments would be an additional benefit.

The ideal candidate will be a part qualified accountant, that will strive to help the charity achieve its goals. In particular, the successful individual will need to take ownership for delivering on core finance tasks with minimal supervision. They will also be a strong communicator and able to convey finance information to non-finance staff. Being a proficient user of PS Financials and having previous experience in the charity sector is desirable for this role. Additionally, previous use of Cascade would be advantageous.
