Your new role
As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Finance Manager in working alongside the sales and supply chain teams to support the business performance and growth. This will include key contributions to budgeting and forecasting models and pricing strategies.

• Provide sales teams with financial evaluations of new business proposals, growth initiatives, customer tenders and pricing proposals, challenging and providing alternative solutions where appropriate. Provide support for customer negotiations. Ensure financial due diligence on tenders, new product development and all business plans for assigned product category.
• Provide sales teams with insightful analysis and commentary on overall actual and forecast. Business performance - includes performance tracking, formal review and challenge plus planning & implementation of follow-up actions.
• Manage the weekly financial outlook & results process for channel / region with the Commercial Finance Manager and Sales Directors including sales, costs and operating expenses.
• Assist Commercial Finance Manager & Sales Directors in forecasting / budgeting processes.
• Provide Pricing and Supply chain teams with support to ensure customer pricing, CTS model and processes are relevant, robust and provide optimum result.
• Review customer and product profitability analysis to keep focus on key profitability issues & opportunities.
• Monitor bonus scheme performance against targets for relevant regions.
• Monitor the performance & effectiveness of customer programs, pricing, promotional and advertising activities through appropriate controls and measures that ensure the best returns on investment.
• Manage customer programmes, ensuring all programmes are based on authorised agreements, ensure all spending is tracked, relevant logs maintained, monitor accruals and ensure policy is being adhered to.
• Support the execution of market strategies through new profit opportunities (customer channels, product mix, gap analysis etc.).
• Support Commercial Finance Manager with ongoing reporting / analytical requirements
• Responsible for Rebates month end process & analysis, budgeting and forecasting

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this Commercial Finance Analyst role, you must have extensive experience in financial analysis and reporting. Supporting the sales team is vital in this role, so experience in this previously will be highly beneficial. Excel will be key to this role as you will be working with financial models, so intermediate excel skills are essential.
