Finance Business Partner

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world renowned media business, based in London and who are focused on the music industry. The role of Finance Business Partner requires a very commercially focused accountant, who has good presentation skills and is comfortable dealing with non-finance people.

Key Responsibilities for Finance Business Partner:

Business Unit Support

• Support Heads of and Directors to produce robust plans, budget and quarterly forecasts for their business areas, including executive summary reporting
• Provide accurate financial information for the Business unit and feed into the Corporate reporting commentary
• Understand and communicate the drivers of performance variances and their implications to Heads of and Directors
• Take a proactive approach to ensuring effective cost management
• Work with Strategy to understand market trends and developments to support strategy development via the 5 year plan
• Identify potential risks to the Business Unit through insightful and action oriented management information and trend analysis
• Influence key decision makers, and drive key projects, using insight and analysis to make financial based recommendations
• Share best practices between Business Units and encourage cross functional working
• Support the Finance Director, Business Unit Directors and Strategy teams with Ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic reviews and business cases

Processes and Controls

• Proactively ensure financial controls are implemented across the business unit (Incl Tax)
• Work closely with other Finance teams to continually improve end to end financial processes and development of related systems
• Support process improvement projects within team to add greater value to analytical, planning and reporting processes
