Financial Accountant

The Investment Management Finance team at Goodman Masson are working with a FTSE 100 Investment Manager towards a Financial Accountant position. The role is intended for someone making their first move from practice to industry.

Your responsibilities:

*Performing analytical reviews of financial information on a regular and ad-hoc basis
*Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
*Managing the general ledger and associated consolidations
*Liaising with outsourced service providers
*Preparing group regulatory returns
*Producing regular finance papers for legal entity board meetings
*Producing statutory financial statements and liaising with auditors

Further requirements:

*Build strong working relationships within Finance and other business areas
*Demonstrate a high level of awareness of the implications of trends within financial data
Your profile:

*Recently qualified chartered accountant, likely (but not necessarily) from a practice background with audit and / or accounts preparation experience
*We have no preference towards top- or mid-tier firms
*Financial services experience not a pre-requisite
*Candidates who have graduated from practice into industry and have a couple of years' in-house experience will also be considered for a more senior role within the team
