Policy Manager - Payments

London

£50,000 - £60,000

 

Our client a leading retail bank is looking for a policy manager to manage and maintain all Payment Policy's related to activity within the bank, to deliver a policy that meets the ever growing needs of the business and its customers. Manages compliance and regulatory requirements for the payments business ensuring impacts on the bank identified and managed effectively.

 

Policy manager responsibilities -

  • Manage all Payments Policy and Related Standards activity regarding annual and on going review , working closely with business and functional areas to ensure fit for purpose and implementing appropriate change where necessary
  • Liaise with all business and functional areas to ensure Payments Policy and Related Standards is embedded into the bank
  • Manage and maintain overall compliance to Payments Policy and Related Standards including breaches reporting and resolution, management of waivers, annual RCA and PER activity and control testing
  • Provide SME input from a payments compliance and regulatory perspective into change projects
  • Assist in the production of consultation responses liaising with Risk and Regulatory Liaison team from regulators (PRA, FCA, PSR)
  • Manage relationship with Payments trade body (Payments UK), attending regular member meetings and manage payment of annual fee

Policy Manager skills -

  • Technical knowledge in payments including payment channels, payments systems, accounting systems and the payments industry
  • Proven risk and management capability with subject matter understanding of legal, regulatory and industry requirements, particularly with regards to Payments
  • Awareness of how regulation impacts policy and financial services, specifically for the payments sector
  • Ensuring compliance with rules and regulations of regulatory bodies
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills
