A highly acquisitive and fast growth PE Backed firm based in Lichfield, are seeking a Qualified Accountant, ideally with some experience with some Commercial Finance experience gained within a Corporate.  The vacancy is an Operations & MI Analyst and will report directly in to the COO with a dotted line in to the Head of Commercial Finance.  Salary will be paid in the range of £50,000 to £60,000 + car, pension and bonus.

The Operations & MI Analyst is a newly created role, which will provide leading edge, relevant, pro-active Intelligent Management Information (IMI) to enable the COO to manage the business effectively and efficiently.

Not only will the Operations & MI Analyst need to be strong analytically, but also ‘forward thinking’ in approach and possess well developed influencing and communication skills for all levels of the organisation, including at Board level. You will have the ability to assimilate data quickly and produce succinct, easy to read MI that makes a real difference.

Key responsibilities include - Operations & MI Analyst

  • To provide pro-active, easy to read, business facing analysis (both financial and non-financial) that assists and challenges the operational business
  • To own the design of IMI to be delivered through a business reporting tool Qlikview (or equivalent) business IMI that supports and improves operational front line performance and provides a ‘future-proofed’ view based on current operating performance and taking into account the customer trends within the sector
  • To lead the creation of a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting ‘datamart’ in a web based accessible format for the entire operational reporting structure from home manager to COO (KPI’s and SLA’s)
  • To prepare and disseminate (to Board) regular (quarterly) reliable competitor comparisons with other rival organisations
  • To be the source of LD market data – gathered from LD Observatory and Laing & Buisson etc and use the information in proactive modelling to determine the ‘what  if’ scenarios
  • To develop COO level forecasting and planning including the rollout of new service lines within the Business

Candidate requirements - Operations & MI Analyst

  • ACA, CIMA, ACCA qualified or equivalent;
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workloads;
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing;
  • Possess a problem solving and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to work with and model using large datasets / Advanced Excel skills
