Do you have an ambition to deliver?  Is finance your area of expertise?  Then our client wants to hear from you!
They support the National Housing Federation (NHF) initiative ‘Ambition to Deliver’ in helping to solve the housing crisis.  Their mission is simple: to increase the opportunities for people to thrive by giving them access to great homes and services to match. This supports the creation of strong and vibrant communities.  They make a difference to people’s lives - and this is something they want to continue doing, for more people, every day.
With assets worth £650 million, and turnover of over £80 million and growing, our client is a well established and successful affordable housing group. They reinvest their profits to deliver their core aims and deliver a range of complementary projects and services.  This is the commercial development operation in the Group whose aim is to increase the number of high quality homes available to meet the needs of our customers and to feed profits into the core business.  Over a four year period, their target is to achieve sales of 100 to 150 units per annum.
They are currently seeking a new Finance Committee Member to demonstrate commitment to the mission, vision, objectives and values of the Group. With strong knowledge of UK Accounting requirements you will have the ability to assimilate complex policy, financial and legal information.
You will have the ability to effectively contribute to the risk management plan and the stress testing principles for the Group, including the review of business assurance information. You will also have experience of working within a regulated sector and delivering digital transformation.

They will be appointing to the role in spring 2017, to complete membership of this recently created committee.  They are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who share their vision, values and commitment to social housing and charitable purpose.
Our client believes in equality of opportunity and welcomes expressions of interest from all sections of the community, particularly people from black and minority ethnic communities, women, younger people, and people with a disability who are currently under-represented on their Boards.
You will be required to attend meetings four times a year in addition to Away Days and training events.
