Great opportunity to work within a dynamic, robust and highly commercial head office finance team, driving commercial, financial and operational insights.
- Support the production of monthly performance reporting across the matrix.
- Drive the planning process to deliver the budget and latest forecasts on time with the right standards of quality, including coordination of planning instructions and timetables across the business.
- Lead the development of new reports and KPIs from board to operational level / constantly striving for new and better ways to report information and identify potential business opportunities
- Input and commentary to the monthly business performance management meetings
- Support the monthly risk & opportunities cycle management from divisional to consolidated position
- Ensures the integrity and data accuracy in the reporting system, including ensuring group entities are consolidated correctly
- Add value to requests from business Units, marketing & sales
- Support to the Group Accounting team as and when required
Your background will include.
- Accountancy qualification, or making good progress towards this combined with exceptional hands on experience
- Strong financial modelling skills, with high level of advanced excel knowledge and intermediate PowerPoint skills
- A drive to find more efficient processes
- Ability to prepare and present financial analysis in a simple and coherent form.
- Ability to create insightful commentary and clearly articulate "what the numbers are saying"
- Ability to anticipate potential questions and needs related to financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of group reporting and business division requirements
- Challenge the reasons for variances in the analysis against plan and against prior periods.
- Understands all areas of the month-end close process & group reporting.
- Supports the development and management of the right business performance management processes in order to prioritise business opportunities and influence business decisions.
- Supports the BPM process for the business area by assisting in the identification of the right KPIs to track.
- Challenges business partner assumptions to meet plan and explore opportunities to beat plan.
- Accurate, reliable and conscientious;
