I have been exclusively appointed to recruit a Divisional Finance Director to lead a £45m t/o division of an international engineering / manufacturing business. Part of a £200m+ t/o group, the overall business is in great shape and the division is performing well, albeit there will be challenges ahead. I have been exclusively appointed to recruit a Divisional Finance Director to lead a £45m t/o division of an international engineering / manufacturing business. Part of a £200m+ t/o group, the overall business is in great shape and the division is performing well, albeit there will be challenges ahead. As part of the senior leadership team responsibilities will include:
- Partner with the divisional Board on design, delivery and execution of the division’s key strategies and product initiatives
- Contribute to the divisional strategy
- Provide commercial insight to the Divisional MD and divisional Board in order to drive profitable growth
- Present a financial report with sufficient analysis to outline the financial performance and position of the division and depots highlighting key trends within the results
- Manage and take full ownership for accuracy of the divisional and depot P&Ls and balance sheets and provide day to day leadership and development of the finance function.
- Achieve all deadlines for operating controls, cash flow forecasts, month end accounts, intercompany and submission of budgets and forecasts
- Support commercial bids, modelling and pricing related to new contracts including attendance at customer and supplier meetings which require financial input
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department and take responsibility for the structure, processes and workloads ensuring they are adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Accountant with a solid understanding of manufacturing / engineering businesses. You will be capable of operating at divisional Board level, working with Group and leading a team. You will equally be a “hands on” Accountant, willing to get involved in the detail with strong systems skills. An interesting, challenging and career enhancing opportunity awaits.
