Purchase Ledger Manager
The client is an established and successful Group, with a number of subsidiary companies and operations. They have a central procurement function, and have contracts with a wide range and large number of suppliers, with a variety of discounts and adjustments for bulk, multiple and seasonal purchasing. The management of the Purchase Ledger is a key component of the Finance Department, involved with cashflow forecasting and budgeting, and has strong interactions with Procurement. Technology is important to manage the operation, as is the need to use the most modern techniques, information and training. Process is also key; and this role will take responsibility for the all PL procedures.
The role requires an individual good at managing a team, and communicating with other departments, and with other Senior Managers. We need an individual who can think beyond the role, take commercial decisions, and who is diligent, professional and modern in approach. This will also involve query resolution and a requirement to communicate with external and internal customers. The Group would expect this individual to suggest enhancements to process and procedures, monitoring and measurement, and to implement any required improvements.
We are looking for an individual with Purchase Ledger experience, a good manager, a good communicator, and someone who wants to embrace modern techniques and systems and can bring an interactive and commercial thrust to the role. A Manager who can work to targets and deadlines, whilst remaining calm under pressure. There are good career opportunities within the organisation.
