Interim business partner for an aviation business based in Gatwick.

Client Details

Aviation business based in Gatwick are looking for an interim finance business partner for a 6 month assignment.

Description

  • Business partnering the unit managers, offering valuable advice and support.

  • Continually improve the quality, accuracy and timeliness of financial information to key stakeholders

  • Coordinate the closure of the operational month end accounts to the set deadline.

  • Ensure that all operational month end accounts are accurate and have a full understanding of any deviations from flash /budget and any future impacts of current deviations

  • Prepare reporting packs for the unit managers to assist in the month end reviews with Ops director and GM Finance

  • Ensure all internal/external weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports are complete and accurate prior to submission

  • Continually challenge the financial results with unit managers

  • Assist in setting, monitoring and upkeep of operational KPI's, highlighting any issues

  • Ensure all financial processes are robust & relevant in the unit accounted for

  • Assist in commercial reviews

  • Collate, challenge and report the effects of any disruption to the business immediately to aid fast decision making to reduce EBITDA effect

  • Prepare forecast/budgets and present with full explanation key movements to GMF and Ops Director

  • Assist in cost control, cost reduction and commercial projects as and when required

  • Assist in Capex budgeting, forecasting and preparation

  • Managing a control office team including a team manager and 8 admin clerks

  • Dotted line into the Business Director based in Gatwick

  • Liaising with peers at Gatwick and also central finance team at ALS

Profile

  • Hold a professional Qualification in either ACCA, CIMA or ACA

  • Minimum 5+ years Finance Management experience.

  • Previous SAP experience would be advantageous

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Be Commercially astute / have commercial awareness

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

  • Strong management accounting and analytical skills are essential

£55,000 pro rata
