An opportunity for a technical financial candidate to join a growing digital media agency based in central London. The role is reporting into the Finance Controller and will be responsible for working with various internal stake holders reporting on the consolidations and statutory accounts.
The role offers good progression to develop and grow with the business. The organisation is also hoping to go through an IPO in the next couple of years.

Description
To maintain the underlying accounting records of the group
- To post accurate financial data and ensure that all balance sheet accounts reconcile to appropriate back up
- To prepare the monthly consolidation of all group companies in line with the agreed timetable
- To review all balance sheet accounts, ensuring that key variances are investigated and fully explained and that all reconciling items are cleared on a timely basis
- To provide insightful commentary and meaningful variance analysis to fully explain key balance sheet and cash flow movements
- To manage all aspects of the quarterly reporting to external bondholders
- To prepare the statutory accounts for all UK companies and work with external advisors to produce accounts for overseas entities where appropriate
- To manage the year end process, liaising with the external auditors as appropriate
- To monitor cash balances across the group on a weekly basis
- To maintain an accurate cash flow forecast for all trading companies
- To maintain the fixed asset register
- To work with the FP&A team in producing Board documents, management accounts, budgets and forecasts
- To prepare and maintain an accounting policy document for the group, complying with IFRS
- To ensure that all companies comply with group accounting policies
- To keep up to date with accounting developments and assess the impact of proposed changes on the group
- To document finance processes and key controls and maintain as required
- To ensure strong financial controls are in place surrounding financial reporting, making improvements where necessary
- To ensure that key business financial controls are working effectively
- To provide financial input to multi-functional projects and provide insightful analysis
- To provide technical expertise and guidance to the Finance team
- To act as back-up to the Payroll Manager as and when required
- To drive process improvements to ensure continuous efficiency gains
- To effectively co-ordinate relevant activities with the rest of the Finance team as appropriate
- To work with operational departments on financial accounting issues
- To provide support to the Financial Controller
- To provide high service levels to the business
- Any other duties as required
Profile
- Qualified Accountant (or equivalent).
- 2/3 years financial accounting experience
- Experience using NetSuite would be beneficial
- Exposure working in the Media industry would also be beneficial
- A good knowledge of statutory reporting
- Exposure working with multi-entities and multi-currency
- Consolidations experience
