A vacancy has arisen for an assistant accountant - AAT qualified/AAT/CIMA/ACCA part qualified with immediate availability to undertake a 6 months fixed term contract with one of Scarborough's most prestigious employers.

THE ROLE

-Reporting to the Finance Manager the role is very commercially focused and will involve pre and post analysis of short and long term promotions, investigating pricing, discounts and list prices
-Accruals, claims administration and forecasts
-Reporting on claims report and financial variance analysis, KPIs and a variety of ad hoc reports as and when required


THE CANDIDATE

You will need good analytical and general accounts experience, have an organised thought process and excellent analytical skills. Preferably CIMA/ACCA part qualified, candidates who are AAT part qualified/qualified will also be considered with the relevant skills and experience.
You will need to be available immediately or on short notice and be willing to undertake the duration of the contract of 6 months.
First class communication skills are essential as are strong systems literacy, particularly with Excel and the ability to prioritise (and re-prioritise!) a workload in a fast paced, busy environment.
