Payroll Team Leader

THE COMPANY:

Brewster Pratap are recruiting an experienced Payroll Supervisor for a large national business based in Barnsley. Close to the motorway they are commutable from Sheffield, Wakefield and Rotherham.

THE JOB:

The main purpose of the role is to provide support to the Payroll Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the payroll deparmtne. They are currently running several weekly and monthly payrolls for over 3,000 staff and 2,000 agency staff.

Main duties will include, but not limited to:

Coordinating the Payroll teams hours and job requirements
Ensuring all daily tasks and processes are completed to an accurate and high standard
Prioritising the department's workload to ensure submission deadlines and timescales are met
Carrying out full and accurate reconciliations to ensure complete accuracy of payroll
Ensuring that payroll queries are dealt with in accordance with SLA guidelines
Assisting the Payroll Manager in their strategic vision for the department
To play an active role in cross department communication and development
Other ad hoc duties as required

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

You must have previous payroll experience preferable in a multi site environment
A Payroll qualification would be desirable
You must be able to work under pressure and able to meet time critical deadlines
You must have excellent communication skills
