Salary:                        £31,000 - £41, 500 pa

Axon are recruiting on a retained basis for a large and complex organisation based in Worcester. The Financial Accounting team have created a new post due to a recent restructure and are looking for a part qualified accountant to join. This is an excellent opportunity to grow and develop in an established organisation that offers lots of progression and support. 

The Role:

You will be responsible for:

• Producing areas of the statutory accounts and dealing with the external auditors directly
• Ensuring systems and processes are in place so the organisation meets its mandatory obligations to account appropriately. This will include work around capital, fixed assets and revenue accounting
• Advising staff trust wide on technical financial issues such as VAT, Capital accounting and other financial accounting matters
• Authorising cash/BACS payments on behalf of the Trust and supervising over 10 staff in the absence of the Deputy Financial Controller

The Person:

• A part qualified or finalist with detailed knowledge of financial accounting
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to communicate with people at all levels
• A proven track record of coaching and mentoring staff
• Strong system skills and ability to implement new processes
