Financial Accountant

Reed Finance are working with one of Cambridge's leading and most historic employers, a multi-million pound group who have experienced consistent growth even in harsh economic times.

We've been instructed by the business to recruit a qualified Financial Accountant, a role created through natural turnover in the team.

Assisting the Group Financial Accountant your responsibilities will include:

Preparation of consolidated management accounts and financial statements
Assisting in the preparation of year end and interim accounts to IFRS
Preparation of subsidiary accounts for audit under FRS 102
Support the Group Financial Accountant with GAAP developments

You will also play an active part in the development of the group's internal and external financial reporting through the promotion and improvement of best practices and initiatives.

This is an ideal role for a qualified accountant from the profession looking for your first, or second move in industry.

You will need to have technical knowledge of IFRS and FRS102, either through direct experience or from your studies, with excellent Excel skills and a working knowledge of VAT, corporate tax and personal tax legislation.

Given that you will be partnering with other areas of the business you will have excellent communication skills, have dealt with 3rd party advisors such as auditors, and on a personal level the company seeks those who are able to thrive under pressure, are pro-active in their approach, driven by improvement.
