Accountant job for a Qualified Accountant based in Glasgow paying up to £42,000 + benefits

Based in Glasgow, my client a market leading, multinational and innovative organisation, is looking for a Qualified Financial Accountant to join their growing team.

Your new role

Your primary brief is to take responsibility for external international financial reporting for their subsidiaries. Reporting to the Head of Finance your duties will include; Preparation of Financial statements under local GAAP, ensuring that accurate statutory accounting records are maintained, preparing the year-end file as well as liaising with auditors and other relevant stakeholders during the year end external reporting process Other duties will include preparation of tax provisions and tax filings, month end routines and journal submission as well as preparation of management accounts. In addition, you will provide a value-added accounting service to overseas and domestic subsidiaries and assist in the development of cross European reporting capabilities

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience in a similar role with previous experience of reporting under various local (European Country) GAAP and IFRS. Furthermore you will be a professional self-starter with the ability to manage conflicting deadlines and will possess a proactive approach to problem solving.
