If this sounds like you, the Assistant Management Accountant role at Asthma UK could be what you’re looking for!

We’re looking for someone with drive, enthusiasm and excellent relationship building skills. You will play a critical role in analysing and recording our revenue streams, ensuring that income is coded accurately and posted on our systems in a timely manner. You will provide support to budget holders in resolving queries and support their decision making through timely provision of financial information and other financial analysis. 

If you’ve got excellent customer service, communication and MS Office skills, an understanding of the peculiarities of charity accounting and who has superb attention to detail this is the job for you. You would need to have worked in a finance department before and be highly numerate. You will have worked with computerised Financial  Systems and Fundraising Databases before and equally you also need to be a great relationship builder - in particular with internal finance and fundraising colleagues – where you’ll need to be a great advocate and advertisement for Asthma UK. This is a critical role, joining a key charity at an exciting stage of our growth and development.   

What the role involves:

  • Running the Raiser’s Edge/ SUN Interface timely and accurately
  • Processing all financial information and posting income onto SUN Financial System
  • Taking responsibility for accurately reconciling information between SUN with Raisers Edge
  • Maintaining an efficient sales ledger system for the charity and its subsidiary

You will need to be:

  • A confident self-starter with good Numeracy skills and Attention to detail
  • At home carrying out complex reconciliations.
  • Computer literate with strong Excel and word processing skills
  • Experienced of working with accounting software packages (preferably Sun account)
  • Confident in carrying out complex reconciliations.
  • Knowledgeable of general bookkeeping and accounting procedures
  • An excellent time-manager
  • An excellent team player
