European Management Accountant 

Wokingham, Berkshire

£32,000-£39,000 + study allowance and benefits (Enhanced employer contribution pension scheme, Private Healthcare Insurance plus cash plan, Income Protection, Life Cover and Childcare vouchers if applicable)

Holidays are 28 days per annum including bank holidays plus an additional allowance of 1 day per annum per completed year of employment, up to a total of 33 days.

CitNOW, a Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 company,  is the UK’s largest provider of personalised video presentation services to the automotive industry.

As of January 2017, there are over 5,000 live installations of CitNOW in Dealerships worldwide, providing personal sales and workshop presentations to ‘customers’. We have 35 manufacturer programmes and work with the majority of the UK’s top AM100 dealer groups, providing them with the opportunity to sell cars and parts more profitably.

In 2016 there were over 10 million CitNOW videos produced and we have recently undergone International expansion. We are now operational at different levels in 42 countries. Our products have been translated into 24 languages and we have over 100,000 registered users. 

In several countries CitNOW have established their own legal entities and have in country management teams. In other markets CitNOW have appointed Distributors or Resellers to manage the CitNOW business in that market. In a small number of countries contracted Dealers are handled directly from the Wokingham HQ.    

Job Purpose

This position exists to support the Financial Controller with all management accounting, statutory reporting and budgeting functions predominantly for 5 European entities – France, Germany, Italy, Benelux, Spain

The European Management Accountant will be the primary contact for anything financial relating to the European entities and is the key contact between the markets and head office.

Key Responsibilities

•    Responsible for delivering accurate and timely monthly management accounts for 5 European entities.

•    Detailed monthly sales reconciliations between Salesforce (CRM system) and AIQ (finance system) 

•    Resolution of market queries and provide general financial and ad hoc support for staff, including general managers, within the European entities

•    Preparation of all accruals and prepayments

•    Responsible for all balance sheet reconciliations

•    Lead monthly financial reviews with the markets, CFO and European MD

•    Work closely with operations to ensure all invoicing is accurate and timely

•    Assist in the production of detailed budgets and forecasts 

•    Ensure tight credit control is maintained by all markets

•    Ad hoc financial analysis and modelling   

Key Working Relationships

•    CFO, FC, Finance team, Commercial Manager, European MD, European General Managers, International Operations team

Core Competencies

•    Recent Accounting or other Business Degree – obtained within the past 5 years 

•    At least 2-3 years of experience working in a management accounting role and be actively studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA / ACCA).

•    Strong excel and analytical skills, combined with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail 

•    A cheerful disposition, with a “hands on”, “can do” attitude

•    Ability to challenge the status quo and improve on existing processes when required

•    Fluent in English. An additional European language would be highly desirable

•    Eligibility to work in the UK
