Financial Controller

A rapidly growing digital media consultancy is looking to hire a Senior Financial Controller to take on a challenging role. The Financial Controller will report to the Finance Director and handle all aspects of Financial Accounting for a significant business within the Group. This business is well regarded within the digital marketing solutions and technology consulting industry and employ some of the leading pioneers and thinkers from across the industry.

The Financial Controller will initially take ownership of the Financial Accounting aspects for an £80m turnover business unit but over the next 18 months take further ownership of two other areas bringing the total to around £240m worth of revenue. The reason the Finance Director wants to phase this transition is so that the Financial Controller is able to deliver some key transformational work such as implementing new processes, systems and developing the team.

The business is a 'people based' and project driven organisation although they also have significant recurring revenue from some large clients. Therefore the Financial Controller should have prior experience in a similar media, technology or professional services environment.

The business is looking to unify their finance systems so the ideal candidate will be someone who is comfortable working with systems and who has perhaps been involved in a systems implementation previously. SAP experience would be of benefit but not essential.

This role would be best suited to someone who initially trained in a chartered accountancy firm (ACA / ACCA) who now has significant post-qualified experience in a Financial Controllership role.
